Title: Corduroy Skirt
Tags: Green Corduroy Skirt
Article Entry: This green corduroy skirt is my fourth skirt. It was made with fabric that I've had for at least 12 years. I bought the fabric when I was in college to make some curtain panels to add some privacy to my work space. I used the curtain panels and some of the left over fabric to make this skirt. I'm pretty happy that I finally made use out of that fabric/curtain panel. It feels good to make something with what I already have and not have to put any more money into it. Actually, I did have to buy the 2 buttons for the skirt but I had a 40% off coupon for Joann's Fabric so it was minimal. I'm gonna keep this skirt for myself since it fits me so it won't be available at my Etsy shop. I didn't think it was going to fit me at first, I forgot to shorten the skirt before I cut into the fabric. I tried it on after it was done and it actually fits decently. It could be a few inches shorter but I'm happy with it. I'll probably just wear it a few times and then I might just give it to GoodWill. As usual, I am pretty lazy with my photography. The back view is a bit wrinkled and scrunched but you get the gist of it. I won't be sewing any more skirts for awhile. I'm focusing on making more pillows to fill my Etsy store. It is a bit bare at the moment. I've read that I need at least 20 items before I'll get some sales so I'll be dedicating all my free time to that. I agree that when you don't have a lot of items in your Etsy store it just doesn't look as legitimate. Hopefully my sales pick up when I have more items available. -----Yafei----- 8/23/11 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
